A voyage around time
In LinkHome we believed that the use of technology is necessary to get to deeply understand and "see" any property. Not only as it is, but particularly as it could be. And of course, virtual or physical space must not forget to "visit" places also in time. We offer you a very special project made for this property, that will help you see the Puerta de Alcalá as it has been over the last two centuries:
In 1854, Alfred Guesdon rose above the city in one of the first balloons to cross the skies in Madrid. The satellite image shows the transformation of the heart of the city.
La puerta de Alcalá. Different views of traffic.
After all, not so much change.
Alcalá street, around the middle of the XIXth Century. To the left, the old buildings of the "Pósito", the borough where most of the bread of the city of Madrid was made for a long time in what was called the "Barrio de la Villa Nueva". To the right, the location of the building before its construction, when the place still belonged to the gardens of El Retiro.
